全球飛最久航線新航新加坡直飛紐約17小時52分鐘

新加坡航空（Singapore Airlines）搭載150名旅客的空巴飛機，歷經近18小時不落地飛行後，自新加坡飛抵美國紐約紐瓦克機場（Newark），完成全球最長途的商業飛行。

根據紐瓦克自由國際機場（Newark Liberty International Airport）網站，新加坡航空SQ22航班在當地時間清晨5時29分抵達，飛行時間為17小時又52分鐘，較原先預估的18小時25分鐘來得快。機上搭載150名乘客和17名機組員。

新航曾以耗油量大、擁有4具發動機的A340-500飛機飛行這條航線9年，但因高油價導致無法獲利在2013年停飛，現在改飛更省油的新空巴A350-900ULR。

這趟航程超越先前城市間最長直飛時間，卡達航空（Qatar Airways）Flight 921航班自紐西蘭奧克蘭飛往卡達首都杜哈，耗時17小時又40分鐘。

航空顧問公司Endau Analytics的尤索夫（Shukor Yusof）表示：「數家航空公司現在放眼競爭洲際最長航線。」

尤索夫告訴記者：「航空業者希望能自利基市場獲利。」
